New York City - the Metropolitan City

New York City is called the Metropolitan City or Capital of the World and for good Reasons. It's unusual mix of people and cultures is unsurpassed in the world and these cultures can be experienced by visiting Little Italy, China Town, Astoria, the French Sections and many more.

Take a bite out of the big apple with their many dining options, everything from sushi, to American, hot dogs, donuts and fine dining. Prepare to have your taste buds dance with delight, as it will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters with its tremendous dining selections. You will find hidden jewels of restaurants and bars in any neighborhood.

Neighborhoods like the Upper East Side are known for its old and established fine dining restaurants, but also caters to the student circles of Hunter college and a younger working crowd.


The world converges here. Midtown is the heart of New York City, and there is no place better than Midtown to check the City's pulse. It is the busiest single commercial district in the United States, and features among the most intensely and diversely used pieces of real estate in the world. Midtown encompasses neighborhoods like Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, the Garment and Meatpacking District. The Meatpacking District is one of the most fashionable neighborhoods, full of hip restaurants, exclusive clubs and high end boutiques. By day this district still has many wholesale meat companies which still operate, by night this district is transformed to one of the hottest nightclub areas.

Midtown and Time Square are a must! Although you might find Time Square a bit crowded with its Theaters and Broadway shows, this place is an amazing mix of people of all walks of life.

Rockefeller Square

What would a visit to New York be without a visit to the Rockefeller Center? Enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch in the sub-ground restaurant area in the summer and be sure to bring your ice skates with you in the winter as the outside garden area turns into a magnificent ice skating ring. Rockefeller Center also features wonderful shops and restaurants. Don't forget to stop by in the morning to catch a glimpse of the Today Show that is being taped at the Rockefeller Center every morning. So get up early one day and tell all your friends to look for you on TV. Atop of the Rockefeller is the Rainbow Room, a glam spot for dinner, drinks or dancing. It is located on the 65th floor and reservations are a must.

Radio City Music Hall

If you are looking to get a taste of music, you are in luck as the Radio City Music Hall is right around the corner of Rockefeller Center. The 6,000 seat theater showcases premier concerts and the Rockettes in the Christmas Spectacular. You are able to tour the Hall 7 days a week to get a look behind the scenes.

Restaurant Row

Restaurant Row is a nickname for the section of 46th Street, located in Midtown Manhattan. The name derived from the numerous small restaurants that line the street. You will find the city's best restaurants offering an extensive international cuisine from over eleven countries.
