ALEO showcases Innovative Italian cuisine

One of the premier Italian Restaurants that are nestled in the Chelsea, Flatiron and Gramercy sections of Manhattan. Aleo has been lauded by Zagat & Citysearch for the food, “Sincere Service”, and relaxed dining space. Fresh hand picked seafood with a special whole fish on the grill daily. Handmade pasta (made on premises) like our gnocchi, and a selection of only PRIME cut meats.

The lunch pre fix and the casual dining menus, have been noted in the Michelin Guide, and have several moderate selections, like our homemade flatbread pizzas and other dishes that are great for a light appetite at a reasonable cost.

ALEO features an outdoor landscaped garden (voted in the Citysearch NYC Top Ten) for dining al fresco. Our garden is covered and heated in the cooler months, which allows for a terrific private dining/party space. ALEO is a great spot for group dining, or a meal with a special someone. The cocktails, the marble bar, and the open-air front doors add to the comfort at ALEO.

The cozy atmosphere, “Genuine Staff”, and the feeling you are with family has tagged ALEO “The Fine Dining Italian Cheers”.

The name ALEO is derived from the parents of the owner (Peter). The "A" in Aleo is from Antoinette, Pete's mother and the "Leo" is from his father, Leonardo. Antoinette is a retired New York City schoolteacher who has roots from Bari, (in Puglia) Italy, Leonardo is a retired mason/bricklayer. Peter (or Pietro) is the host of this beautiful place that boasts an award winning garden. Aleo assimilate the cultures of Italy, and the sumptuous flavors of the beautiful Mediterranean. Come visit Aleo and experience some wonderful food while dinning to the sounds of Sinatra, Gypsy Kings, Luis Miguel, and the like. You can view the photos of Pete's Dad with his pals at Raos's restaurant in East Harlem, NYC, and Pete's Mom with her girlfriends at Orchard Beach, in the Bronx. The respect and pride in the name is depicted in the service and food in this beautiful space.
